Inside the Chambers (a poem)

This speaks of the struggle in keeping our hearts before Him in a time where outward pleasures surround us. It speaks of His longing to have our inward hearts and not just our outward sacrifices.

Come into the chambers of my heart
Where love awaits and longings are.

Here inside this secret place
Where you alone can see and taste.

You call me to stillness and peaceful streams
Trusting, abiding, waiting in peace.

Deep within I constantly fight
For sweet pleasures to delightfully arise.

As I come to open this chamber door,
My hope in time is that it will be Yours.
